Al via le riprese di «La giovinezza», il nuovo film di Paolo Sorrentino

 

Inizieranno il 9 maggio le riprese di «La giovinezza» il nuovo film di Paolo Sorrentino che torna sul set dopo l’Oscar per il Miglior Film Straniero a «La grande bellezza».
Il film sarà girato in lingua inglese e potrà vantare un cast internazionale tra cui il due volte premio Oscar Michael Caine, Harvey Keitel, il premio Oscar Rachel Weisz, Paul Dano, ildue volte premio Oscar Jane Fonda.

«La giovinezza» è una coproduzione Italia-Svizzera-Francia-Inghilterra: Indigo Film in collaborazione con Medusa Film per l’Italia; C-Films per la Svizzera; Bis Films e Pathé per la Francia; Number 9 Films per l’Inghilterra. Il film si avvale del sostegno di Eurimages.

Medusa Film distribuirà il film in Italia. Le vendite internazionali saranno a cura di Pathé International. Uscita prevista nella primavera del 2015.

Il film è ideato e scritto da Paolo Sorrentino. Luca Bigazzi firmerà la fotografia, David Lang le musiche, Ludovica Ferrario la scenografia, Carlo Poggioli i costumi, Cristiano Travaglioli il montaggio.

Le riprese si svolgeranno in Svizzera, Italia e Inghilterra.

«Youth», Paolo Sorrentino’s new film, to begin principal photography

 

Principal photography of “Youth”, Paolo Sorrentino’s new film after winning the Academy Award in the Best Foreign Language Film category for “The Great Beauty”,  will commence on May 9^th.  The film will be shot in English and will feature an international cast: Academy Award winner Michael Caine (“The Cider House Rules,” “Hannah and Her Sisters”), Academy Award nominee Harvey Keitel (Bugsy), Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener), Paul Dano and the Academy Award winner Jane Fonda (“Coming Home”, “Klute”).

“Youth” is an Italy/France/Swiss/UK co-production between Indigo Film in collaboration with Medusa Film (Italy), Bis Films and Pathé (France), C-Films (Switzerland) and Number 9 Films (UK).

The film is supported by the Council of Europe’s co-production fund Eurimages.
Medusa Film will distribute domestically in Italy; Pathé International is handling international sales. The film will be released in the Spring of 2015.

“Youth” is written by Paolo Sorrentino.  The behind-the-scenes creative team includesdirector of photography Luca Bigazzi, composer David Lang, production designerLudovica Ferrario, costume designer Carlo Poggioli, editor Cristiano Travaglioli.

Shooting will take place in Switzerland, Italy and the UK.
