WINNERS RAVENNA NIGHTMARE FILM FEST 2014 25th October – 1st November  2014 XII edizione PALAZZO DEL CINEMA E DEI CONGRESSI Largo Firenze RAVENNA Si è conclusa dopo una ricca programmazione e con un ampio successo di pubblico la 12ª edizione del Ravenna Nightmare Film Festival,  l’appuntamento più importante in Italia per il cinema horror e fantastico, presso la nuova location del Palazzo del Cinema e dei Congressi di Ravenna. Sabato 1 novembre 2014, nel corso dell’ultima serata, la giuria RNFF14  composta dalla saggista e critica Mariangela Sansone, dall’organizzatore di festival cinematografici Massimiliano Maltoni e  dal giornalista e critico Maurizio Principato ha assegnato i seguenti premi  Premio Anello d’Oro al Miglior Film Lungometraggio a BIG BAD WOLVES (Israele) di Aharon Keshales e Navot Papushado “Per la forza e la brutalità con cui mette in scena la quotidianità dell’orrore di un territorio in perenne conflitto, dove regnano le contraddizioni, i pregiudizi e non vi è alcuna possibilità di redenzione…un ritratto spietato, illuminato da improvvise pennelate di humour nerissimo e lucida visionarietà”. Premio Miglior Regia a A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT (USA) di Ana Lily Amirpour “Un’opera che è pura fascinazione per lo sguardo, che sublima non solo gli occhi ma anche il cuore dello spettatore. Un film che sfrutta il bianco e nero per un’estetica pop che trova le sue radici negli anni ’80. Una dichiarazione d’amore da parte della regista, al suo esordio al lungometraggio, al cinema nella sua totalità, oltre definizioni e generi. Un’opera pregna di riferimenti cinematografici, dal western alla Sergio Leone, passando per James Dean di Gioventù bruciata, fino a Godard e Carax, con suggestioni herzoghiane e citazioni al vampirismo moderno della Bigelow.” Gran Premio della Giuria a SUMMER OF BLOOD (USA) di Onur Tukel “Divertente, bislacco e logorroico come deve essere un vero film indipendente newyorkese. Una rilettura sfrontata delle tematiche legate al mondo dei vampiri, con soluzioni narrative efficaci e sempre azzeccate. Un plauso speciale al protagonista che offre punti di vista e spunti di riflessione imprevedibili e inediti sulla condizione esistenziale del vampiro” Premio del pubblico a BLOOD MOON (Regno Unito) di Jeremy Wooding.   Premio al Miglior Film Cortometraggio a SOLITUDO (Regno Unito) di Alice Lowe “Un racconto cupo sulla solitudine e sulle tenebre che avvolgono la mente dell’essere umano, in questo caso una suora. Un’opera che pone al centro della scena uno stato d’animo – la tentazione – e il male che diventano carne e danzano tra le nebbie di Jean Rollin e i campi lunghi di Tarkovsky, forse solo nella mente della protagonista”. I premi sono creati dal maestro orafo ravennate Marco Gerbella. A film full of references, from Sergio Leone westerns, through James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause, to Godard and Carax, with Herzog suggestions and following Bigelow’s modern vampirism. ” Special Jury Prize SUMMER OF BLOOD (USA) by Onur Tukel “Funny, quirky and talkative, how a true independent film in New York should be. A bold reinterpretation of the issues related to the world of vampires, narrative solutions with effective and always spot on. A special praise to the protagonist that offers views and insights on the unpredictable and unprecedented existential condition of the Vampire ” Audience Award BLOOD MOON (United Kingdom) by Jeremy Wooding Best Short Film SOLITUDO (United Kingdom) by Alice Lowe “A dark tale about loneliness and darkness that envelop the mind of the human being, in this case a nun.
