FEFF 17: LA LINE-UP

UDINE – È stata annunciata oggi dai direttori artistici Sabrina Baracetti e Thomas Bertacche, al Visionario di Udine, la line-up del Far East Film Festival 17 di Udine.
Il concerto-evento di Joe Hisaishi aprirà ufficialmente, giovedì 23 aprile, l’edizione.
70 film da 11 diverse aree geografiche: dal super kolossal Dragon Blade (Hong Kong/China, in anteprima Internazionale) all’epic action The Taking of Tiger Mountain (China/Hong Kong, anteprima italiana), passando per le sezioni speciali sulle Martial Arts e sul Sitges International Festival.

DA HONG KONG CON FURORE!

 Prime anticipazioni del Festival udinese a

due mesi dall’inizio: ecco la nuova immagine

e l’omaggio all’universo delle arti marziali!

 

UDINE – La cultura pop, si sa, è fatta di icone. Icone destinate a durare lo spazio di un applauso, o di una moda, e icone destinate invece a durare per sempre, conficcandosi nell’immaginario collettivo. Ogni icona racconta un tempo, ogni icona racconta una storia. E il racconto che prende forma da una semplice tuta gialla, percorsa da una semplice bordatura nera, è decisamente il più epico!

Nominare Bruce Lee, nominare la citazione tarantiniana di Kill Bill con Uma Thurman, risulta davvero superfluo: la mitica tuta gialla parla, appunto, da sé. Parla a tutti. Ed è proprio su questo potente automatismo, sull’impatto istantaneo di un’icona, che si basa l’immagine ufficiale scelta dal Far East Film Festival per la sua diciassettesima edizione.

A due mesi dall’inizio (le date, ricordiamo, vanno dalla super opening night del 23 aprile al 2 maggio), ecco dunque il combattente in tuta gialla realizzato dal grafico goriziano Roberto Rosolin. Un simbolo di forza, con le linee del kung fu che proseguono – e si moltiplicano – nelle linee di un vetro infranto, e, contemporaneamente, un omaggio tutt’altro che generico all’universo delle arti marziali.

Il FEFF 17, abbracciando – e sviluppando – il progetto messo a punto dall’Hong Kong Economic Trade Office (HKETO) per celebrare il 50° anniversario della propria sede di Bruxelles, presenterà infatti una speciale sezione curata dall’Hong Kong Film Festival e dedicata alle mitiche martial arts hongkonghesi!

Dall’immortale The Way of the Dragon (L’urlo di Chen terrorizza anche l’occidente) di sua maestà Bruce Lee al cult The Young Master di Jackie Chan, da un classico come Spooky Encounters di Sammo Hung a un altro classico come Righting Wrongs di Corey Yuen, senza ovviamente dimenticare Once Upon a Time in China 2 di Tsui Hark, il pubblico potrà godersi un autentico e irresistibile greatest hits! Non solo il pubblico dei devotissimi, che vivrà con entusiasmo l’idea di ritrovare questi film sul grande schermo, ma anche il pubblico dei “semplici curiosi”, che non resisterà alla tentazione dell’ennesima avventura made in Hong Kong. Un’avventura cui sarà abbinata un’indimenticabile Hong Kong Night con le grandi star dell’ex colonia britannica.

«Non essere un’unica forma: adattala su te stesso – diceva Bruce Lee – e lasciala crescere: sii come l’acqua. Libera la tua mente, sii informe, senza limiti, come l’acqua. Se metti l’acqua in una tazza, lei diventa una tazza. Se la metti in una bottiglia, lei diventa una bottiglia. Se la metti in una teiera, lei diventa una teiera. L’acqua può fluire o può distruggere. Sii acqua, amico mio». Pochissime righe per condensare tutta l’essenza, nobile e gloriosa, delle arti marziali. Pochissime righe per condensare tutta l’essenza di un’icona e di un’intera epopea cinematografica. Oggi più viva che mai!

Roberto Rosolin è nato a Gorizia nel 1980. Dopo aver studiato, ha iniziato la carriera di grafico in Friuli Venezia Giulia e si è trasferito a Londra (dove adesso vive e lavora). Attualmente è art director del Fabric, storico locale londinese, e dell’omonima etichetta discografica, il cui output creativo ha riscosso grandi attenzioni nel panorama internazionale. Il suo lavoro con il fotografo Mads Perch è stato recentemente utilizzato per la copertina dell’annuale di fotografia di Creative Review.
