in prima italiana, ecco l’incredibile documentario

che apre le porte dell’inespugnabile Studio Ghibli!

UDINE – Il countdown sta per raggiungere l’ora ics, cioè il concerto-evento con cui Joe Hisaishi aprirà ufficialmente il Far East Film Festival 17, e i colori del Giappone continuano a scintillare. Se, appunto, il 23 aprile salirà sul palco del Teatro Nuovo uno dei più grandi idoli nipponici, il 24 aprile verrà proiettato al Visionario (ore 14.00) un incredibile documentario che riguarda molto da vicino la sua anima artistica: stiamo ovviamente parlando di The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness (Il regno dei sogni e della follia), al FEFF 17 in prima italiana con la collaborazione della Lucky Red.

La regista Sunada Mami, cui è stato garantito un accesso praticamente privo di restrizioni all’inespugnabile Studio Ghibli, ha seguito i tre uomini che ne sono la linfa: il leggendario Miyazaki Hayao, il produttore Suzuki Toshio e lo sfuggente Takahata Isao. Un anno intero dentro le stanze segretissime del regno dei sogni e della pazzia, dunque, mentre la società si stava affrettando a completare due film: Si alza il vento di Miyazaki e La storia della principessa splendente di Takahata. Grazie a Sunada Mami siamo in grado di capire il processo creativo che è alla base delle illustrazioni di Miyazaki, la sua totale dedizione al disegno che lo spinge a girare per le stanze dello Studio con sempre indosso un grembiule quasi fosse un operaio della fantasia, sempre chino a dare vita ai sogni.

«Miyazaki – spiega Anderson Le, direttore del Festival internazionale delle Hawaii ed esperto di cinema a 360° – è riverito come il genio creativo che sta dietro a film affascinanti e pieni di magia come Il mio vicino Totoro, La città incantata e Kiki – Consegne a domicilio, e lo si potrebbe immaginare come una specie di nonno gentile con il cuore e gli occhi pieni di meraviglia. Ma si sbaglierebbe, perché Miyazaki, invece, è più assimilabile a un lavoratore educato e diligente che è stato benedetto da un colpo di genio, ma che è anche caratterizzato da momenti di cinismo e dubbi sul proprio lavoro, che suggeriscono una certa cupezza dietro le sue creazioni».

The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness, ricordiamo, inaugura la sezione che il FEFF dedica per il secondo anno consecutivo al cinema del reale: 4 documentari – selezionati dallo stesso Anderson Le – per indagare il ricco (ricchissimo) universo del cinema non-fiction orientale.

UDINE – È stata annunciata oggi dai direttori artistici Sabrina Baracetti e Thomas Bertacche, al Visionario di Udine, la line-up del Far East Film Festival 17 di Udine.
Il concerto-evento di Joe Hisaishi aprirà ufficialmente, giovedì 23 aprile, l’edizione.
70 film da 11 diverse aree geografiche: dal super kolossal Dragon Blade (Hong Kong/China, in anteprima Internazionale) all’epic action The Taking of Tiger Mountain (China/Hong Kong, anteprima italiana), passando per le sezioni speciali sulle Martial Arts e sul Sitges International Festival.

Per un totale di:

Il thriller Helios e l’horror Parasyte: part 2 verranno proiettati a Udine in contemporanea con l’uscita nazionale in Oriente, in anteprima assoluta.
